Inspired by the ecological wisdom of Robin Wall Kimmerer, this gathering is an invitation to reflect on the understanding that community and land are part of the same living story.

In the spirit of reciprocity and care for the world around us, we’ll explore how to nourish the gardens we carry within us and the ones we dream of growing together.

You’ll be guided through reflective prompts, collaborative art-making, and optional sharing. No art experience is needed.

Let’s come together and make space for something beautiful to take root.

I recently took part in my first Art Cafe.

I had not done expressive arts activities prior, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Shayna created an exceptionally warm and welcoming environment for us to gather, create, and share. My introduction to expressive arts was through Shayna.

It was through her that I rediscovered the healing and quiet joy that comes with creation - being with colours, textures, paint, paper, poetry, and words. Each Art Cafe felt like a soft landing, an invitation to slow down, to connect with others, and to listen to what wants to emerge through creative expression.
